DIGITECH VOCALIST PERFORMER

HELLO, I HAVE A DIGITECH VOCALIST PERFORMER AND AM UNABLE TO GET IT TO TRACK TO MY VOCALS AS WELL AS I WOULD LIKE. ALSO, SOMETIMES IT DECIDES TO HARMONIZE NOTES THAT ARE NOT REALLY APPROPRIATE. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY TIPS OR TRICKS FOR THIS UNIT? THANKS, HDE
 
I have a Studio Vocalist,and I almost always use "Vocoder" mode where you trigger the harmonies by sending the machine Midi Note Messages. This way the machine has to play only the notes I send it.So if you're machine has a similar mode,try it out.You can do it from either a keyboard in real time or from a sequencer.

THANKS FOR THE TIP. THE PERFORMER IS A NON-MIDI UNIT. THEREFORE I AM OUT OF LUCK AS FAR AS THE KEYBOARD GOES. I AM TRYING OUT THE VOCALIST WORKSTATION NOW, HOWEVER, AND WILL TRY YOUR IDEA OUT. HDE

There was supposed to be a Smilie on my post about shouting but it didn't happen,I was just injecting a bit of levity.
