Digital Hook-up mpc2000 and alesisQS7?

Behold my first post.

Is it possible to run the digital out on the QS7 to the digital in on the mpc2000 i just want a clean sample. What do i need to do.

If they are both spidif It will work.

the QS7 is optical out and the mpc is not. I taught a converter would work. thanks
