I recently bought the Aphex 204 to go with my 002R and I was just wondering how you guys hook the two up through a patchbay. How do you set the i/o in Pro Tools?

Thanks in advance for any input.:D

What is it that you want to do with the 204? Do you want to use it at mix down, say to DAT or ADAT? Do you want to use it for effcts? or as a pre amp going into the digi oo2r.

Sorry, I haven't been here for a while now. Well, back to the subject; I just want to use it at mix down and sometimes on guitars. I want to know how you hook yours up. Thanks.:)

I don't own the unit myself, a freind of mine has one that I have worked with. Basicll you run out of your 002 monitor outs into the in of your 204 and out of the 204 into whatever you are mixing down to Dat, CDR or analog tape machine. If you want to come out of the 002 useing the 1 thru 8 outs just click on the analog button in pro tools and select which ones you want to send your mix out to and the signal will be routed to that path say 7&8 or whicever you chose.

Just another quick question; is it possible to use it on guitars for mixing and at mixdown?:D

Not at the same time. But you could run your gutar through it when you laydown your guitar tracks, then re-wire it when you do your mix down.
