When we first got the MD-8, we mainly continued recording in stereo (instead of tracking). This is a heavily processed (read: reverbed) practice jam that I really like. The tenor reverb really sets up a "in the mist" type of sound (whatever the hell tenor reverb is.).

There is at least one fuckup per measure (missed notes and one particularly funny missed drum fill), but listen two or three times and you'll dig it.

Yup. My motto is, "It's not produced badly; you just need to listen to it again!"

(he picture is of Danny, our illustrious lead singer/rhythm guitarist. He's the one I wanted to electrocute for eating the microphone awhile back.)

We've got some tracked stuff that should be on soon, will post as soon as MP3.com gets off their ass to include it.

Reverb-city.....practice jams are fun...best sounds were from the drums and bass....gibs

BTW, forgot to add that listening on low-fi pretty much decimates this song. For something fun to listen to, download as opposed to listening...

Thanks!

hehe!

Yeah, that little ditty got the verb treatment TOOT-SWEET (does anyone know where that term came from?)!

BTW: No bass. Just Dean Acoustic with built-in pickup BOOMING bass all over the place. Worked well for the overall sound, IMHO.

I'll try and get "real" sounds for other people's songs, but I also love to burn tape during rehearsals and gigs. All the stuff that isn't "claimed" gets the FX array, as I love the "My Bloody Valentine" sound.

"Whoopah!" (this post needed a couple more quotation marks)
