Is there a different in the software for mixing? beside plugins.

I have protools LE, and looking to try different software to see what kind of mixes i can achieve out of each one. Is there really a different? or should i just stick with my protools LE.

I was looking at something like Cubase SX.

I don't think the programs are the limiting factor, it's the person using it... ;)

.

granted you are correct. probably need to change the title to not just mixing.

I'm looking for something with midi and something i can make a better tempo map also for editing.

Well, I have tried Cubase and Logic, but Cakewalk Sonar works best for me... ;)

Tempo-mapping is dead easy in Sonar, can't really speak for the other alternatives...
