Well blow me down
Here's what I think I know of the differences so far:
1. The 1880 has linked faders; the 1824 doesn't...
2. The 1880 comes with a 6 gig HD; the 1824 comes with a 10...
3. The 1880 needs an outboard CDRW; the 1824 has one internal...
4. The 1880 come with NO FX cards; the 1824 comes with one of a possible two that can be used...
Are the features/operation/functionality basically the same other than what I listed (same preamps, display, control layout, etc.)? Or is there anything else I missed?
FWIW I heard the 1880 was discontinued by Roland, but there seems to be some stock left.
Thanks,
MC
