Difference between these seagate hard drives

hmmm beats me.

the only thign i can see is that one is an OEM.
 
One of then supports NCQ or Native Command Queuing. It means that the controller can send several command to the drive, and then the drive will do those commands in the way it thinks is the most efficient. So the controller does not need to wait until a command is finished before sending the next one. But you need also a controller than supports it I think. (a feature they took from scsi that uses this for ages)

My bet is that it won't matter much for recording where you write long continuous streams of data.
NCQ is more beneficial for applications like databases where query results have to be compiled from data that's all over the hard drive.
