did the JOEMEEK SIX-Q replace the VC6Q?

i am seeking a new single channel pre with compressor.
 
I believe it did. I've got a VC6Q and the new one is different.
 
Yes, I believe that is the new contender in the VC6 ring. Historically the VC6 et al. has been rumored to be the VC3 et al. with the power transformer or whatever you call it inside the box, no need for a wall wart. Maybe there is something more. If history repeats itself with the new series, it may be a ThreeQ circuit with some added bells and whistles. I know PMI did a major renovation of the components so it may be more than that. Go to PMI audio or Joemeek website and ask them to be sure, or PM AlanHyatt from PMI Audio here on the board.
