Hey guys, so I was told in order to get a good bass guitar recorded onto an old school cassette recorder that I needed a DI box and NOT TO GO STRAIGHT INTO THE BORD!!!!! Then, I was also told from a buddy that instead, I could get a bass chorus effects pedal and it will be the same thing. Is this true?

One of the bigger impacts from using a DI box will be a better defined low-end. The chorus pedal may give your bass signal a little colour, but an active DI box will help you out a lot more.

What the chorus pedal may do is match the output impedance to your sound board.

You won't need to worry about a chorus effect all the time with a DI box :)
