So I just made a little demo. Keyboard (piano and organ patch), guitar, and drums. Just to let you know, I'm a drummer first. Keyboardist/pianist a distant second, and I just started learning guitar a month ago, so please forgive me terrible sloppy playing. If anybody wants to know gear or techniques I used, just ask. It lacks bass, I'm waiting until I can borrow my brother's bass guitar before I'll throw in the anchor to the mix.

So, what do you guys think?

I think that sounds awesome. I think what you wrote sounds cool as hell. The guitar riff is sick(to me). Are you trying to do like strange tempo stuff? I'm excited haha. You should record some vocals on it. I'd love to hear more. Sweet.-Eric:)

................Cool.:D

Now make it longer and add some vocals!!!!

Cool keyboard parts, too. I like the Farfisa sound.

If only I could sing. I'm a good lyricist, though. Just can't sing too good. Not even autotune can save me (yes, I tried).

Yeah, its just a basic demo. I come up with some riff or short progression, I go about recording the basic part and "flourishing it out" with other parts. I need another progression to go along with that.

I like the Farfisa sound.

care to explain what Farfisa means?

this song definitely has potential.

i like the tone of the gutiar or the piano and if the rhythm played done correctly, i'd imagine it being a really groovy song!

You like the piano? Hah, that's kinda funny. Its a piano patch off my Casio keyboard, DI into my system, and I threw on the PSP PianoVerb to "liven" up the sound. I guess it worked much better then I thought.

Yeah, the guitar tone I got is awesome IMO, too bad I suck at playing it. :P

5/4 eh? Nice...

Totally accidental. I didn't even try to make it 5/4. I just started playing the notes, it felt natural, when I turned on the click track, I realized that it didn't line up with count 1.

Though I'm not that happy with the drum groove during the 5/4 part, it could be better.
