delta66 omnistudio pre vs. audio buddy

regarding only the quality of the pre-amps, do any of you know if one is better than the other?

my dilemma is whether to get a delta66 omnistudio, or to get a delta44 + audio buddy and have money left for another mic or tube pre or a better pre-amp altogether.

I have both. I like the Omni/D66 better. Not sure why...

I also have them both, and the Omni's pre's are 'better', IMO. They're cleaner, and have more of an open sound than the Audio Buddy. I don't mind the sound of the Audio Buddy as a DI box for my Taylor's pickup, but much prefer the Omni when micing my guitars or for vocals. Vocals and guitar are all I record, so I can't comment on the differences for drums, etc.

One other thing...the Omni's nice because you also get a pair of headphone out's, as well as monitor controls. For me, the extra features are very helpful.
