Is it possible to obtain double the available channels from the Delta44 by using a stereo line > single RCA lead, and panning hard left and right on each two consecutive mixer channels? I ask this as I am thinking of upgrading my mixer to one with channel inserts, and the Delta44 seems to be an affordable interface, but since I am recording drums I require more than 4 channels, and this would quite possibly be the solution, if it worked.

Just get 2 44's...then you'll have 8 ins and outs

In canada these badboys are down to 200 canadian new

8 ins and outs for 400 bucks seems good to me.

Ahh, their mono are they? Is it fairly easy for two 44s to run side by side? I've never used an actual PCI interface before, only soundcards.
