Delta drivers must have been made by ammatures!

That sounds like you have the output volume down or muted or you have the wrong (physical) output selected.

The fact that they wrote that M-Audio control panel to be a window that can't be full screen irks the shit out me! All that scrolling back and forth. What a waste of time!

While such design ideas would be fine for a clock, it's highly inappropriate for this application.

hear hear hear...wtf is with THAT!?!?!? lol...altho I suppose they could argue it prevents confusion then. I don't like how when I press the done button, it removes it from the bottom right (sorry I forget what you call that)...they should leave it there so I don't have to go hunting it down in my control panel again.

ok I'm just curious, this is unrelated, but I posted this above...when I boot up, I get a little message box, it says DeltTray...Unable to add Tray Icon - sorry we're hosed now!....

Ok are they trying to be funny???like wtf?

It still adds the icon no problems there, but whut the hell???
 
Just to put in my two cents...

I have an omni studio with a delta 66. Flawless install. I then added a delta 1010 a few days ago. At first I was confused after I installed the drivers how to work with the two different cards cause it would only bring up the 1010 when I double clicked the m-audio interface thing, but then I noticed there was a check box to change between up to four delta cards.

Mine was easy as pie to install and get working.
 
Hey guys...sorry if I missed something, but on the M-Audio website they tell you to do the "read me" thing, to avoid unecessary hassles when installing their drivers. I had a Delta 66 running on 98se, and now a Delta 1010 on XP. When you download their drivers, you double-click on the file, and it defaults to unzipping to the (A) floppy drive. Do that. Then, when you are prompted to install the drivers for your soundcard, you "specify your own location, etc...." to install from. Like it was said, ignore the unsigned driver notice, continue anyway, and there should not be a problem. Maybe M-Audio (Midiman) does do things a little squirrely, but they do try and give updated drivers (as well as beta versions) on a regular basis. The only time I had a problem was when I tried to "install" the driver file, before it had been properly unzipped to the floppy. Glad you're out of the woods, ambi.
 
I am a complete moron with computers. I'm only 16. I got a Delta 410 last year, it didnt come with XP drivers, but there were some on the website. I downloaded them off of their site, installed my card, and have been running smoothly since. I'm sure you can get that thing running well. I love my delta card (on my pentium 4 w/ windows xp).
 
You guys shouldn't be responding until you read the thread, the issue has been resolved.

I read the whole thread, and I offered the info to help out anyone who might be having the same issue that you had. Glad you're o.k. now.
 
sorry that was more towards science one. His response sounded quite insolent. Basically saying that he's terrible at computers and if i couldn't do it i'm a retard.

Where as if he had actually read the thread he would have seen that i did everything that is recomended and it wasn't the actual act of installing the drivers that was giving me problems, it was that the card was not physically installed properly. Having not put the card in myself, and only have 10 minutes to get do it, was the reason it didn't work.
 
Cool...it did seem like you tried everything. This is what we have to do ...not be afraid to get inside the computer and f*ck with everything. It's the only way we are all going to get better at solving problems and troubleshooting. I try not to comment too much here, as I have much to learn. I find this BBS to be one of the best at other people helping each other. Thanks to everyone.
