Still Learning.......
With a Delta 44 do you need a soundcard to listen back to what your playing? ie, monitoring.
Or does it have a line out, headphone sockets in it?
 
Delta 44 IS a soundcard. Unless you want midi features, you don't need anything else. It has four 1/4" inputs and four 1/4" outputs - all line level. To listen back to what you have recorded, you would have to connect the ouputs to some sort of mixer, headphone amp, etc.
