delta 44 stress

it seems i'm having problems keeping my router/patchbay straight.I record sucessfully sometimes and then just when things are fine i will record another take for example and the track will have this terrible distortion on it almost like a loose guitar cord but it is not that.I use cakewalk pro 9.Is there someway to ease my setup.I feel like i'm missing an important step.-- thank yuo in advance for any and all help!

Check your drivers. I had a similar problem with my Delta 66 but only AFTER I upgraded to the most current drivers.

This distortion was only happening during recording and then it was fairly random. Some takes were good. Some weren't.

I'd recommend downloading ALL available drivers and work through them until the problem is fixed. Be sure to uninstall each set of drivers before installing others.

Midiman offers an uninstall utility alongside the upgraded drivers.
