I am thinking about buying a delta 44 soundcard for use with my n-track. Any comments, pro or con ?

plenty of folks here using the delta series would recommend the rig.
I used an AP and a 66 for a few years and they did a fine job.

The only problem with mine is that it only has 4 inputs.

For the small difference in price, I would get the 66 instead. In fact, some UK stores sell the 44 and 66 at the same price.
The 66 adds s/pdif i/o on rca-coax (no optical). Otherwise, AFAIK, it's identical to the 44.
You never know when you might need an s/pdif!
And s/pdif helps to sync two soundcards together for when you get another.
2 x Delta66 (giving 8track record) cost less than 1x Delta1010.
