Hey can anyone link me to some files they recorded with the Delta 44? if possible...without a bunch of other tools behind it. Really wanna hear what distorted guitar will sound in it, cleans cool to.

I wanna make sure I really wanna buy the Delta 44 to upgrade from my 24-bit SB Audigy 2. I know its hard to compare if I myself can't test between the two but...seeing how good someone elses stuff sounds can at least help my views.

Plus i ordered PM-1's and wanna make sure I wanna keep all this and not just stay simple.

Thanks.

All the stuff on my website (http://www.evangordon.com/sounds.php) was recorded through the Delta 44. No distorted guitars, just mellow acoustic stuff.
I mostly used a Soundelux U97 and Neumann KM184 into a Great River MP2 preamp.

I've been very happy with the Delta 44, been running it since 2000!

Are you gonna listen to the samples of the delta 44 with your Audigy? That kinda defeats the purpose

All the stuff recorded in my link below is with a delta 1010..... same convertors but they are in a breakout box, not on the card like the 44 so it has a slightly quiet noise floor. That being said the 44 is a very good card for the money and will be a HUGE improvement over your audigy.

Here's a tune with drums, guitars & bass all tracked through a Delta 44

Pretty much everything i've done is with a 44. Click the link below, or I can link you to some stuff that is just one or 2 audio samples. For clean stuff, this is a DMP3 with a cheap Nady mic on acoustic, Bass into a Sansamp DI box, and into a 44....
Electric Gumby

Thanks everyone for the links to songs. I really notice the difference and I can't wait to get the Delta 44 and DMP3. I'll post recordings of before and after between audigy and delta once i get it.

ThanX...

Ive only been recording for less than a month and Playing all the Instruments by my self and most of my Equipment is extremely Cheap but I am getting a fairly good sound considering my delta 44 is the most expensive piece of Equipment I have and cost more than my Mixer and Mics combined......

Cheers

This was all done with a Delta 44 and a Delta 66. (not using the digital in's on the 66 though...so basically 2 44's)

It's not my band, just some band that I recorded. ;)

Thanks, it was mic'ed cabs.

I too own a 1010. I have no trouble getting good recordings. I would make sure your PC is stable. I run a 3ghz P4 w/ 1g mem. Before I owned a celeron1.3ghz and 512 mem. IT gave me trouble as far as stablity. You may want to look at Motu or RME. I'm thinking of getter the RME Multiface. I hear it is rock solid as far as stablity and audio quality. Stepping up futher than that is like apogee or something(mega bucks).
