I just wanna buy a fine quality soundcard~but i have no idea about which one should i get.....
DELTA 44 or mia midi
which one has better quality(the sound)?

Don't know squat amout the mia, but I'm more than happy with my 44

Do you need MIDI?

Your stock soundcard might have it built-in. The Delta does not have MIDI capabilities.
I second Bulls comment on the 44 -- it's a great card/interface!

My friend has another Delta series card, the 1010, and he's very happy with his. The converters will be of similar quality in the 44. Any card with a breakout box has an advantage over built in cards due to the RF interference caused by other components in the case, which would make the noise floor higher. That aside, the Mia Midi is darn cheap!

In the same price range as the 44 is the Aardvark USB3, that has a mic preamp, but you need an XLR to TRS cable. I use the Aardvark Direct Pro 24/96, and it's awesome with it's clean mic preamps, but that may be more than you're willing to spend.

Depends on what you need.
Mia has 2 analog i/o, spdif i/o, and 1 midi i/o

Delta 44 has 4 analog i/o (no digital or midi) but it does have a breakout box and and be used in a multicard setup by way of addtional delta card(s) if you decide later on that you need more i/os.

I had used the delta 66 for a couple years with pretty much no problems.

I hadn't dealt with interface problems until i went with a firewire unit.

I'm starting to miss my pci piece.

upgrade made easy

go with 44!! I have two of them!! you can use as many pci slots your pc has!! you can record all your tracks at once!! the best quality i've used!! it works really well with sonar.
