Hi guys,

I just want to know some stuffs about these interfaces.

Are they M-powered? Would Protools work with it.

Would MIDI (ie. reason or logic) work with it as well? I know it doesn't have MIDI i/o but i'm a bit confused.

I'd appreciate all your inputs.

THanks. :)

M-powered? Oh, is that what they're calling it these days?

As far as I know the cards are identical. It's probably Pro Tools that supports the hardware; I doubt they would have to do a thing to the card to "M-power" it...

And no, there is no MIDI interface, and no on-board MIDI synth on these cards. You can send the output of VSTi and DXi software syhtns to them but they have no inherent MIDI hardware capability at all.

You can purchase PT Mpowered for them yes. You can use the midi dsp on your on board ac97 or SounBlaster card along with these cards. You'll need a usb controller or a game port to midi converter if you want to use a keyboard.

But i can't use the two cards at the same time, can i? I'm thinking of using Reason via rewire in PT as well.

So does that mean that even PT click track won't work at all with these cards as well (since clicks are midi, aren't they?).

BTW, i've read somewhere that you can use multiple cards of this type at once. IS that true?

Yes, you can multi-sync several m-audio devices together. I'm using 2 delta 66 cards without problems. You just need to make sure you have the latest drivers for your OS from the m-audio website.
