I just want to say Thanks for this forum and previous posts, and to the people who replied to me.
I'm using the I/O out of the Yamaha with a 1/4 to Ring and Tip RCA into my Delta, I'm going in channel 3 and and out channel 3 with the ring and tip, I think that's right!!!
I did notice that it only works if I go into the first click of the I/O of the Yammie
Still trying to figure out the ST/Bal/ Ring /Tip thing.. :-), I'm getting there.
I'm using CEP/Audition. I'm noticing on the Delta Control Panel my level are Way HIGH!!! clipping big time. I'll have to make more adjustments............ Learn and Burn.......... :-)
My dilema I'm having now is, how will I get the sound back out to my monitors and headphone amp. I've tried several things but it either peaks the level meters HARD on the Yammie and doesnt come out or it comes out with lots of static.
first off I want to know do I need to go back in with the RCA Ring or TIP or is that just defeating the purpose.. I would like to be able to use channels 1 & 2 out of the Delta for monitor and headphone amp.. Would I even need to go back through the mixer??
I dont know if im making any sense or not... Any suggestions or am I just a hopeless NOOB lost in recording world... I mean it would sure be nice to get this figured out and actually play again..... HAHAHA!!!!

Thanks!!

Lower the gain control on the channels that are feeding the Delta.

You should be able to simply run the outs from the Delta back to your mixer. I'm not familiar with your mixer, but from the title of this thread I'm guessing it's a 16-channel mixer. You can only run 8 channels max. to the Delta, which should leave 8 available for returns.

Assuming you are using channels 1/2 in the Delta for your playback - run the Delta 1/2 Outs to the Line In ports on two of your mixer's unused channels. You should be able to use a cable with an RCA on one end, and a 1/4 phone plug on the other (or use a guitar jack and adapters if you need them). And this time you are going to push the phone plug all the way in to the jack. :D

You should be able to control the playback volume through your recording software, or the channel faders or Main faders. (Assuming you have already properly set the gain control for the channels you are using.)

Would I even need to go back through the mixer??
This is not absolutely necessary - you could run the Delta directly to your monitors - but I don't see why you wouldn't want to. Running back to the mixer provides you with a lot more flexibility, as well as volume control over the monitors.

Have a look at the back of your mixer. You'll see a pair of RCA jacks called 2TR IN. You should be able to connect the 2 outputs from your 1010lt to these jacks. Then press the '2TR In' button on the mixer just above the main fader, and you'll hear the 1010lt output in the headphones and Control Room Outs.

Adjust the level with the 2TR In knob to the left of the meters

I GOT IT!!

Well at least my drums are coming through and I have play back!!!!!!
Im using the 2tr as suggested that works great!!
I just need to start tweaking the sound now... Easy right?? Haha Thanks so much for the suggestions
Im sure I'll be back..........

thanks again!!!

Welllllllllllllllll!

Ok, Maybe I spoke to soon, The sound is coming through, but when we hooked the guitar up and he started playing it drounded me out,, We messed with it last night, but still couldnt hear myself too good, THe recording aspect is working The mic'd drums and gutiar are outputting on their seperate channels
just cant hear myself in the headphones too good..
I tried to turn the gains up but it just peaks the Delta hard...
I guess I need to figure out the routing on the MG 16/4 a little better....... At least the recording is working.... and it sounds decent for starters... :-) Oh! , we are coming out of the MG into a HP4 headphone amp the Hp4 carries the signal to the Monitors and the headphones. the sound out of the monitors is great!

Thanks again!!
