I was just fiddling around ith a version of ProTools LE 5.0 or whatever its called, on my G3, and found the Delta Control Panel doesn't work it seems to stall inside the software therefore allowing no sound to be auditioned.

Anyone know why this might be or how i can get around using the control panel to get some sound?

Cheers

...dont use ProTools.....

(I apologize if that sounds smart ass)

Laugh i...? I nearly did

I don't man to be smart ass either but i had figured that one out a long time befoire i posted this thread, but sometimes it doesn't hurt to ask questions WHY instead of everyone else seeming to take the easy option on here all the time and suggest alternative solutions instead of confronting the issue at hand, if u don't know i'd save yourself the time and effort for things you can help with. Clearly alternatives are in some cases preferable, but we can't all be right all the time can we!

Cheers for the input or lack thereof...

let me put this simply.

You use a Mac....most of us who have been doing this around here don't, though there are a very few. So we can't answer Mac questions when we arent familiar with them.

Even fewer are using Pro Tools from what I have heard, so same story goes.

There seems to be a recurring theme of problems when using a Mac and Delta cards.

You may want to seek out a Pro Tools forum, I thought Digidesign had them, or possibly a Delta forum on their website.

Ahh

Right cheers for that.

I was unawares that so few people were MAc users but i guess the lack of hardware and software options is the drawback for recording not the functionality of the machine which, is generally better. Nor was i aware of the bug between ProTools and Macs, not that i use ProTools but it does no harm to keep options open when you have a copy of the software, at least i can go back to using Logic without scratching my head.

Cheers again i shall refrain from posting too many Mac related question unless someone wants to actually start a Mac forum...

Now theres an idea!!! Why has no one bothered in the past i wonder??
