Hello All...
So, I awoke this morning from a wonderful sleep to hear my wife say that there was a loud hum coming from the studio. She went in and, to be safe, shut down the PC. Probably the best thing to do. So, I turn it on and sure enough there is a hum emitting from my speakers! This happens as soon as power is supplied to the unit so it's not a software issue.
Thinking the PCI slot may be dorked I tried another slot. Same problem. I also thought it may be the speakers (Alesis M-1 Actives). However, it would seem that if it were the speakers the hum would only be in one as the probability of both suddenly going bad is (I think) slim.
So, I've started to conclude that it is the Delta 1010.
Has anyone else encountered this? I noticed one other guy on the net with the same problem. I asked him for the solution. I've also written Midiman and await their response.
Help?
Brad
