dell laptop and pro 24 which firewire card

hey fellas i have a dell laptop on the way for recording and i have a focusrite pro 24 dsp. hello again no replies yet. Got my laptop yesterday and am still stuck as to what card i need to get to add firewire to it. Any info for me would be appreciated im anxious to record somethin

Anything with a TI chipset (and not a USB/FireWire combo card, though I don't think those are ever TI anyway).

Belkin and SIIG make reasonably priced TI-chip'ed firewire cards. Check newegg.com

(When dealing with audio and video ONLY go with TexasInstruments firewire chips. That's the gold standard and many interfaces will NOT work with anything else properly...)
