So I just got a Teac 80-8 up and running in my studio. It sounds great. I tracked audio onto each track and everything is AOK. But, when I try to overdub, I get a delay to the tape. I thought it might have been the board, or my compressors & micpre's, so I bypassed them and plugged a bass directly into the tape machine. Still. About a 200ms delay.
I might imagine that the play or record head may be out of alignment. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't have the tech book (I wish I did). Might there be an internal adjustment I can make?
thanks!
