Hi again,
I'm looking for delay which gives me opportunity to make repeating sound for example for few second with the same volume and then without fading out goes away.

I'm looking forward for you reply,
Thanks in advance!

There's probably a few delays that will get you the "same volume" repeats (using the regen control)...but to get it to stop abruptly....mmmm...you might have to do that manually.

Do you need this FX live...or as processing during mixdown?
If it's for mixdown use...you might be able to rig something like that using a DAW's tracks/editing capabilities.
For live use....there are some pedals that are notorious for NOT letting the last delay trail off, they just cut off (not sure which brands).
There are also some high-end delays that have all kinds of options...probably the digital delays will give you the most options....maybe one of them.
You'll have to do some searching....

When I want delay, I often don't even bother using a delay. For example, if I want a one-repeat slap back echo, I'll just copy the vocal track, paste the copy below it, and move the copy as far over from the original as I need to. I then adjust the volume of the copy and I have my delay.

You could do the same thing for what you're looking for. The only difference is that you'll have to make several copies. It sounds like a lot of work, but when you think about it, copying (one time) and then pasting, even 10 times, shouldn't take more than about 40 seconds. :)

Exactly RAMI...

with a DAW, that's the way to rig it...
...though I'm not sure he's using a DAW and/or if he wants it as a live FX...
...or what exactly?

Speaking of delays...I just score a Pigtronix Echolution about 10 minutes ago on eBay...for only $217 shipped.
I've been after oine for awhile now...they are supposed to have all kinds of cool delay options, and are all analog.

Life wouldn't be interesting to you if everyone was exactly like you! :D

You're unique! :)

My boss digital delay stomp pedal has this feature. It has a switch to turn the effect on.You get about one second. To use the effect stomp on the pedal and keep your foot down on the pedal switch. It'll repeat as long as your holding the switch down with no decay.

Take your foot off the pedal to stop the effect. If you go over that one second it'll cut off and only repeat what it allows for.Not really all that useful in my opinion.I used to annoy my singer with it though so it wasn't completely useless.

You could try using automation on the delay track and control the delay that way.

I was thinking along the same lines for live use. Set up your delay with high feedback and no high or low frequency rolloff (to keep the same sound) and then use bypass to cut it off abruptly.

Although, if in studio with a DAW, RAMI's way gives more precise control.

I'll just copy the vocal track,
I nearly fell off my chair when I saw that ! :D
Then I read it in context

and thought, "I just love all this 'studio jiggery pokery' ", eclectic magpie that I am.....

Hehe...Yes, that could have been the ultimate contradiction. :)

I'll give you another one. You can get stereo delay by copying and pasting (cloning, etc...) the track twice and panning the 2 copies.....as long as they're not set to the same delay time. Chew on that for a while. :D :D :D

I do not need that live so i'll propably copy this guitar chord few times and then find some nice plugin to change sound of that through this repeating.
Thanks everyone for help!
