Hey, I am not a drummer at all. Am guitar player singer and want to use this with another guitar player for shows. Was wondering if there is a site or something where people have listed which preset patterns work well as they are with 70's and 8o's ballads. I don't have a great ear so having trouble identifying patterns to go with Beatles, James Taylor, Elton John, etc. songs. Any help would be appreciated because there are so many samples to go through and as I said I am rhythmically challenged. Thankyou

For a cover I once exported the midi drum part from Guitar Pro to use as a starting point. There's an extensive database of material to choose from online, in addition to what's included. Granted, the compositions are not always that close to the original but it sounds like 'close enough' would suit you fine.

You'll need a drum program to import the midi file into. Maybe something like EZ Drummer? Some DAWs also come with a low end drum VST which might suffice.

Not sure I am totally on song but BFD Eco is cheap and has a lot of "grooves" in it which are drum patterns which you can tweak.

Dave.
