From what I understand in order to achieve a well-balanced sound, monitors are best placed in a way that they are decoupled, using bricks, rubber, heavy stands, whatever...
now I've come up with this idea:
Would it help if I would build a desk for my mixing console...and then put like a big concrete plaque (like building material, think block, not tile) onto the bridge, then (just for optics' sake) wrap it into fabric, and then put my monitors on top?
