What Deepwater said in his original post was:
"Yours truly will be a direct dealer and will happily take care of my HR friends. I'll let you know when you can start placing orders and getting pricing."
And later in another post:
"Disclaimer -
You don't have to buy them from me just because I'll sell them to you cheaper than anybody. There are a lot of online resources that will offer them at full price. Fill free to pay extra."
So, what if someone really wanted to contribute to the forum by selling stuff at greater discounts than normal? Would that be spam? Also, how else could they communicate that to us? And btw, anyone here not want someone to give us special deals on Oktava mics?
I think the problem lies in whether or not Deepwater really intends to make good on his claim “to take care of my HR friends”. Accusations have been put forth by the nay-sayers, but the fact remains that Deepwater may actually want to offer us deals that even GC can't touch. If so, I and others here certainly wouldn't have a problem with that, and would appreciate it very much! But on the other hand, if he proves otherwise offering no significant discounts, then fine – get some tar and gather up some feathers.
The bottom line however isn’t what we think is spam – it’s whether or not the moderator considers it spam - that's all that matters. And, since the original thread is still here, I’d guess not (for now, anyway).
