First, I'm sorry for the stupid questions, if there are any. Secondly, Thanks again for any input and taking time to help me out.

I'm having difficulty understanding the terminology and detailed specifications of power transformers. Is there a transformer replacement that is better, less likely to fail & suits the dbx 266XL?

I finally pulled out the power transformer, and it failed to give any readings.
I have many questions.

I need to find out the following:

Voltage rating?

Primary & secondary voltage?

Is it AC to AC or AC to DC?

Low power, isolation, center tap, Linear, step up/down, split bobbin?!?!?!? I'm CONFUSED.

What does the 15Watt spec mean? I think I'm clear that the input is 120v / 60 hZ.

Is the mount part "Screws?"

Is it possible to find one with the connectors on the end of the wires (the connector to the pcb and the flat connecter that attaches to the 3 prong inlet) already wired? Soldering audio cables I'm ok with but the internet has put the fear in me with these things.

I was just watching a youtube video that said exactly that. Doh!
