I've been lurking here for a while, and I figure that it's a great place to get feedback. I've been playing guitar for eight years, and I've been recording for about 6 years. The samples I would like to get feedback on were recorded on a TASCAM 424mkIII with Behringer XM8500 microphones. It was all mixed down to tape and then transfered to the computer. The kind of sound I was going for was the old Beck albums like Stereopathetic Soul Manure and One Foot In The Grave mixed with a little bit of Dashboard Confessional Swiss Army Romance. I was just wondering if I could get your honest opinions about these songs:
The first song is called 'the best for you is all i ever asked for'
It is about only wanting the best for the one you love.
The second song is called 'goodnite kisses'
It's about the anticipation from being in a relationship with distance between locations of about 83 miles.
