Hello again, I wanted to ask for some infomed opinions......
I am seriously looking into a Yamaha AW4416 to get started on my 1st home studio project, and wanted to know if anyone here has used/ uses this unit and what the consensus was on it. How would you rate it as opposed to a PC based setup? To give an idea where I am coming from.....
I wanted to try to keep the cost below $1200...I can find several Yamaha AW4416 units on ebay for this. I am doing all of the recording myself, it is largely a solo project...prog metal and such mostly.
Or, as some people have told me, should I instead consider a Cubase setup? What are the advantages to this? I have a Pentium 4/ 2.6 Ghz w/ 512 RAM and around 80 to 100 GB of memory...I think that I should be fine if I were to go to this type of setup, if it would be more beneficial.
I love this site, the advice here has been helpful to a newbie to the recording world like me. Thanks!!
