Hi, i have a DAT cassette from 1994. Would like to get a straight to digital transfer to files. no D/A/D conversion. can anyone recommend a tursted place for the transfer ? i dont have a DAT deck anymore.

THanks

I think he's talking about a stereo DAT rather than a DTRS multitrack.

I can do it. One of the studios I work in has a lightly used Tascam DA-30 MkII and S/PDIF into the computer. I'm in Colorado.

hi, sorry, i should have been more specific. Yes it is a stereo DAT not DTRS. bouldersoundguy. can you help me ? how much will you charge ?

thanks

Before you go sending your DAT through the mail maybe you can find a nearby studio where you can hand deliver your tape and maybe hang out during the transfer. What's your location?

yes, that would be preferable. I am in the northern california area. sacramento. I can go to san francisco as well, it is a 1.5hr drive from here.

There's got to be a few studios, even home/project studios, in the Sacto area. In fact, I just Googled it and found a bunch of them.
