DA CAT! The song about the cat.. completely revamped

i dunno rayc. i think the piano on the newer versions really makes the song. the harmonies in the first version are cool though, since they are a little different sounding. but yeah i probably like the final version best overall. some cool background vocals going on too, sounds almost like strings, the way they are really pushed to the back. interesting effect.

I have to admit to preferring the 1st version on this thread. The latest, on Soundclick, is slick & very good but I prefer the simplicity & niavity of the 1st up.
I found myself wondering why you CATegorized it under CR. It's a nice ditty of a cat's eye view of the householdinterior world. It's now become complicated - context, subtext, compulsory text, parable, malleable, pallitable, misconstruable - by a label.
Ah, but back to the topic in paw/claw: cute song, well recorded, nicely mixed!

You like the first version, as in first "new" one.. with the piano and everything?

Or the VERY first?

Glad you like the piano and bg vox! Heh. Yeah that's sort of the effect I was going for for those background vox. I wanted them to sound wide and sort of "stringy".. dunno if they're really that wide though.. cause I panned them left to right, right to left.. etc.. moving them from side to side.

Hey, I'd be happy to hear the latest mix but I'm a sucker for naivety so I like the less tweaked version.

I was cool with it for a while, but then I started not to like the harmony too much.. but yes it is completely different in it's simpleness.
