Hat STYLE. Not contents.
So I was going to procrastinate on this particular project for a little while, but events conspired to force my hand. I'm starting on an EP of covers of bands that I know personally. The first up is Cyborg Alien Girl by Happy Wednesday.

I'd work on the drums, they don't sound right to me. Maybe that's the sound you're going for, but if it's not I'd fix them. They sound like cardboard to me. The vocals sounded pretty good, but the drums and lack of bass kind of killed the song for me. On the bright side, depending on how you recorded things it could be a quick fix.
 
Sweet action! I suspected that the drums would be the big point that needs work.

So they're thin and cardboardy sounding? OK. I will look into fixing that up. Any specific frequency recommendations?
You think the bass is a bit low too? Es posible.

Ok. Mix 2 is in the same place.

I EQ'd the drums (as a whole) to have more low end and more high end (and less mids) I think it gives the kick and snare a little more oomph, and the cymbals a little more splash.

I left the bass alone; I think it's plenty loud already for most of the song.
