Today I was installing a Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invader pickup in my Affinity Strat and after getting it all soldered and wired up, I noticed it the humbucker didn't fit great and I am going to have to cut some of the wood between the places where the pickups go. There is a little piece of the body that sticks out to separate the pickups I guess, and I'm going to have to cut that out. How should I go about doing this?
I was thinking of using a drill press and slowly drilling tons of holes over the place that needs to be taken out, then scraping out the excess that the drill bit did not get. Is this a good way to go about it?
Thanks,
Scott
