Hope it's okay to post this here; the section said for things that don't fit anywhere else. Just stumbled on the "save rock and roll" album by fall out boy > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H10e5YT6QQc

I skimmed through it expecting to hear some classic instruments like Kravitz or Sabbath, but everything sounds unnatural to me. Does this qualify as rock n roll to you? I'm on the fence about the band, because i honestly have not listened to them enough. I listened to probably 20 seconds of the songs. Do you strive for this sound? It's hard to explain, but it sounds harsh and unnatural. Maybe i haven't been listening to enough recent recordings. Or, maybe i'll grow to like it. These recordings sound like commercially produced pop, and not rock n roll. Why put that in the title? I just don't hear the elements that represent a rock band. If you disagree, that's fine. Interested in what you think about the production.

eeeewwwww the original cant possibly be like that .. sounds like somebody ran it through EZmix to their personal preference and murdered it :(

It didn't occur to me that the mix would be altered. I guess, a copyrighted version wouldn't make it on youtube. So i guess i'm not hearing things.

Now the clips on your studio page are well defined. You can hear guitar, a drummer playing a kit, bass. It's more of what a rock band is to me.

Which brings to mind ... How does one voluntarily gag?

I think their best song was sugar we're going down, everything else after that pretty much went down for me IMO...

Sorry, I'm over the age of 12 so I find this acoustically repulsive ;)

The first song kind of reminded me of Nightwish's I Wish I Had an Angel
