Hello
Are audio files always imported at -3.0 db , into a project? Even if they were normzlized to zero on a previous export, and during that export all faders were at zero.
I have mixes of a chior, very little processing except occasional eq, audioease reverb.
I normalize the left and right trax files and exported the normalized(to zero) mix. everything is at zero.
If I import the exported mastered file to check it, it is imported with max peak at -3db.
Does this mean the exported file was at a lower db then advertised. or when it was imported later into the project , importes are always -3db lower for safety, assuming some processing may be done to the trax.
Find it disconcerting that my normalized master trax with faders on export at zero, and no processing on come back to me at negative 3 db if i import the result to check it out
