I have been recording on Cubasis by taking a midi out from my sequencer. The problem I am having is that there is no decay in the notes. This results in overlapping notes which don't sound too hot. this is for Bass by the way. I have no problem recording the same track as audio, taking an out from my sound module, pity as the vST bass is quite versatile.
Any solutions?
Also someone recently made a remark about bad soldering. Being in a metal trade I have done all sorts of soldering, brazing over the years.
Try this. First clean your electric iron's tip. Use a file not emery. Keep your fingers off it as they cause problems.
Next get some plumbers lead soldering flux, it looks like a dark heavy grease.
You now have to tin the iron, get it hot and just touch the flux. Now put a bit of solder on the tip. It will flow out, tinning th iron.
When soldering wires always put a bit of flux on the parts to be joined, I just use a matchstick or toothpick to put a small bit of flux on. Use resin/rosin core solder. Yuo will get a good join, promise.
Meanwhile back to the Cubasis?
