I've been researching software for my planned home studio. I was going to buy Cool Edit Pro, but saw the price and went on researching. I found a review on Cubasis VST and it sounded good to me, and has a much more reasonable price. Now, i'm starting my studio to record my own industrial metal band, my own solo project/s, and other bands of different types. I hope to produce high quality CD's with it, so:
Is this a good program for recording metal bands, and bands in general or is it more suited to something else?
I've heard it's hard to use. Is this true, or are the people who said this just a bit on the computer illiterate side?
Is the mastering/cd creation software that is bundled with it very good, or would I have to buy better software for this?
Is the soundcard that comes with the Cubasis VST project pack good? It says it has 2 ins/2 outs. I haven't seen it, so does anybody know what type of jacks the ins and outs are? Are the 2 outs a left and right, meaning that I can only plug in a headphone amp and not have room to plug in monitors as well?

Thanks to anybody who read this far. Bigger thanks to anybody who replies!

i have cubasisVST+PROJECT CARD

well, chances are that the people are illiterate or first time recorders. I was when i got it, it was extremely hard to figure out at first, but when you do, its a great song creating atmosphere. Its cool cause it comes with a really nice program to record and edit, wavelab. I'd suggest recording your stuff in wavelab Lite and mixing in cubasisVST. as they have all the instruments. If you need any help or can help me about cubasisVST, my email is musicsdarkangel@yahoo.com.
