Cubasis VST 3.0

Greetings all. I have just joined this forum as a very green and inexperienced user of home recording software - an old version of Cubasis. My difficulty is one that has perplexed me and thwarted all atttempts to produce anything for over two years - and each time I return to the software for 'one last try' i give up utterly frustrated. It is latency - could someone please help me - in the simplest possible terms - in overcomeing this problem as I presume it is a universal one that others with more technical minds have dealt with. I would be be so grateful for any help, tips or advice. Many thanks. PCD

Could you describe the latency problem(s) you are having? What soundcard are you using, and do you have up-to-date drivers for the soundcard?

I've got a realtek97 (standard soundcard that came with the PC) that I use and there's definitely some latency issues. It's a pain, but right now I just re-align each track after I record it.

If you've got a good sound card, i mean an expensive one, you shouldn't have problem with latency.

What's your hardware spec?
