Hi, im using a tascam us-122 and recording in my guitar. Now i see the little squiggly lines that shows theres a sound there but i hear nothing through cubasis. I press playback it plays it all back even the bars move that show the sound but i dont actually hear any sound.

Ive tried it on both my laptop and PC yet the same problem :( Help!!

Fankooooo :)

In your devices menu, check the VST outputs and make sure it is outputting to the correct soundcard (the one your speakers are connected to).

Well ive tried to find that setting but cant find the devices heading. under what title bar does it come under? All i can find is input settings :( maybe you could send a screenie? NickJ_wales@hotmail.com

You're right. I haven't used Cubasis in quite a while (you should really consider upgrading to Cubase SE -- it's under $100 and is infinitely better software). You can go under Audio-->System. Make sure the proper driver is selected (ASIO US-122 16-bit or ASIO Multimedia --try both out, as one may work better, I don't recall). Since Cubasis will only work with the US-122, you must have your speakers (powered speakers) connected to the line outs of the US-122 (the L/R RCA jacks on the back of the unit) -- or, you could connect headphones or speakers to the headphone jack. Adjust the Line Out an/or Headphone volume on the Tascam to taste. You will not be able to listen to audio via your computer's normal soundcard, I don't believe, until you've mixed it down. If that doesn't work, let me know.

THnx

ahh yea thnx......im an ultra noob ive got CUBASE SX or somthing but i have no clue how to work it so im just using audacity. It does the job perfect :D

Cheers Mate!
