Does anyone know if the latest version of Cubase SX has been re-written to run on the new Intel Duo Core Macs? I want to purchase the new Macbook Pro but I don't want to be tied down to have to purchase Logic Pro as the recording software.

Thanks, that helped

Thanks for the link. I think I will go with the Dual Core Power MAC instead. I'm all for Intel but don't want to spend the time waiting for compatable software. One of the dealers today told me that it could be a year before software other than Apple would be available in the Universal build. I don't know but it almost sounds like a Monopoly to me. Oh well I am a fan...

Well since they are x86 architecture most likely they are going to port the windows version down. Hopefully they release some source code, I can only dream about Cubase on linux, it would make a lot of sense.

You may want to wait all toghether. These will be phased out also in about a year (according to Jobs anyway)
