Cubase SX, MPC2000, & Timepiece AV

I'm having some problems trying to get my MPC 2000(drum machine) to play longside cubase SX. It use to work well with VST. Between the 3, I don't know what to set on what. The timepiece config is set to internal. Cubase has "none" for timecode. I set the MPC to use midi clock. Is this right. How can I achieve the best sync possible on these machines.
 
Is there a law against that? I apologize. To whom it may concern
