Hi. I have a PC with the following specs, Pentium IV, 3.2 Ghz, 1Gig RAM, Windows XP

I just purchased Pre-Sonus Firepod and and recieved Cubase LE 1.07 dem

I installed Cubase, but every time I start the program, the startup box comes up, begins initializing and suddenly:

Cubasele.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I uninstalled the program and re-installed it but it continues do the same thing.

What should I do?

Do you have Service Pack 2 for XP ?

Try using Windows Update and then giving it another go...

Do you have any other sound devices (i.e. an onboard sound card/device)? If so there could be a conflict of sorts...

Do you have the latest drivers for your Firepod and the card/chip you use to connect to it?

I switched from Cubase a long while ago because of it's quirkiness.. Now that I'm using ProTools it's really no different but usually the errors are more descriptive than that..

Hang in there man... You'll get it..
