I have the Tascam US-224 and am looking to upgrade the software from the bunbled cubasis and was looking to get either Cubase SE (the $100 one) or Cakewalk Home Studio. Does anyone have any comments about either of these? What is the learning curve like? Thanks for your time

search under my name for my comments on usb sound interfaces.
also ive made a number of suggestions on affordable under 80 bucks software. just search using my name. loads of posts in the last year.
also search under the arch_jedi thread (its long) way back in the newbies section. i think youll find it interesting.
if you have q's just ask.

I tried but it was hard to get it narrowed down between your 1000+ posts. I was leaning toward the Cakewalk sofware because of the ACID looping since I don't really have the capability to record drums. I was just really wondering if there were any major drawbacks to the Home Studio or if there are any major advantages to Cubase

zona. i'm sorry i cant post what i use. its too upsetting because everytime i do i get jumped on by users using competitive products to what ive used for years and am happy with..
and its very annoying. because my focus is to point out affordable solutions that get the job done well. just go back a few pages in the newbies section and read the arch_jedi thread. or search under my name.,
sorry. but i dont want to get into it all again.
