Cubase Master Mixing problem :(

Got to ask you something..
I mix my tracks in Cubase ..

At Master mixer section, it is always "peak-ing"..
But, when I check up every channel..none of them has peak's..
Then I always have to silence the master mixer with lowering the volume by -3,-5dB and then it's seems very "lifeless"..

What should I do?
Mix it with silenced master and them compress it..Normalise it.. Or do something else?

How to keep that firm sound without clipping and peaking?

Tell me some tip

With the master fader output at 0dB, it won't take long to exceed if you keep summing the tracks. (with each track at 0dB.) It's this sum of all the tracks that is most likely peaking your master fader. But, it may be one instrument in particuliar that is causing most of the peaking, like a snare drum for instance. Maybe some compression on certain instruments would help, or it could be the mix is out of balance. If it seems lifeless when you turn the master output down a few dB, compensate by turning your monitors up. Solo each channel, what level are they hitting on the main output, are there one or more that jump all over the place? If your doing drums, maybe solo the whole kit and see what's happening on the output. Compression can give you more control, and also computer editing, using gain reduction on problem areas.

So what do you suggest? A little turn down of all the tracks playing? Will it result with the smaller the amount of master mixing fader?
What compression or limiting are you using of each channel to get a firm sounding?

What about frequencies? Can you tell me something about them? What to cut? What to boost? Are there some rules which I can read or see?

How to start the mix? Should I turn down all the channels down and them boost them a little and mix them? Or the other way?

What should the graphicon of the mixed wave look like?

Can someone tell me or give me a text file with frequency tips for ( examp. )bass drum, snare, bass guitar..What to do If needed to get a firm sound of the kick drum, which freq to boost to get a crystal sounding of the snare and not to mask other instruments?

Same for the vocals?

also what to do to get a "loud mix"
without clipping and peaking?

I think that everything is distorting when I raise the volume up.. It drives me crazy..

Give me some advices..
