Hi guys, i'm wondering if any of you wouyld be able to help. for the past couple of years i have been running Cubase 4 LE through my EMU 0404 pci CARD no bother. I remember when i first used the EMU 0404 I had some trouble with sound which was sorted by using a driver which i believe was called DSP Wave 2400 or something like that. ASIO just didn't work for me, it kept distorting popping clicking before freezing up completely. Anyways, the past couple of years i've not had any trouble with it until now. A couple of days ago i installed ableton live which i'm still trying to figure out and i've found that Ableton seems to work better with ASIO. Now when i went back into cubase i had a box appear saying my ASIO configuration has never been tested, so i tested it, passed it and then another box (which i believe was something to do with Patchmix DSP) appeared on screen, asking about how i want to set up my new session. i picked one, thinking it was best for what i was doing and now when ever i try to play back any of my old songs, it pops a little, freezes, distorts then stops all together. Thinking this was because of the driver problem, i went to change the drivers in cubase and now all i can find are 3 ASIO drivers in the drop down list EMU ASIO, Multimedia ASIO and Direct X Asio( or something along those lines. Which ever i pick it doesn't change anything. I've installed the new drivers from the site since, hoping this would help, but but hasn't. please tell me i haven't lost my music!
