hey, experts

Newbie over here wondering why every time i try to export my recording on to cd a message that says "an error occured during the export" keeps poping up? I am using Cubase Se. It doesn't even tell you what the error is. I would appreciate it if anybody out there could help me.

thanx

Cubase SE does not have the ability to burn CDs (at least I haven't found that capability yet). You need to export your stereo mixdown to your hard drive and then use a CD burning program (Nero, EZ CD creator, Windows Media Player, Real Player, etc.) to actually burn the track to CD.

Also, when you are exporting your audio mixdown, make sure you make it compatible with CD format. That means the bit-depth must be 16-bit and the sample rate must be 44.1k (even if you recorded it at different bit/sample rates). Also, you'll probably want to select "Stereo Interleaved" as the file type.

Oh, and welcome to the board.

Also, ensure that the left and right marker are correctly positioned on your mix. (Left being on the left of your mix, and right being on the right :))
