So I have slate trigger samples with drumagog. Basically what I want to do is recor the drums midi and edit midi because I find it easier. Is this even possible with drumagog? What I've done is run my trigger into the from of my interface. Then I create an audio track. I add drumagog to the vst. Then on drumagog I enable midi out and choose my note and channel. I then created a midi channel. I changed the input to drumagog. I also changed the drum map to Steven slate map. When I record audio on both track it records on the audio track an also records midi notes. Problem is all of the sound and notes is tied to the audio track. I want full control midi editing with velocities and placement like I could with a vst instrument Luke ezdrummer. Any help!?

Do you have slate TRIGGER or slate EX/Platinum? There is a difference. I wasn't aware he was including gog files with trigger.

If you have the later then just use the kontakt player to play the samples. If you have trigger... I dunno, I don't own trigger.

Neither. Say you buy Drumagog. You get all those samples from drumagog but you may not like them. On Steven Slates website he offers just under a gig of his samples in .GOG files. Kicks, Snares, Toms. All of which get put into a folder and run as a replacement through drumagog. You dont have his actual VST just the steven slate .GOG files to use. In that case how would I do it Guitargodgt? You've been a big help man. AND while I'm at it, is there a way to program drums using drumagog. If not is there a program I can run through drumagogs plugin hosting to be able to do this?

Wouldn't you just use Drumagog as a trigger replacement for the audio you create with MIDI? I am not versed in MIDI stuff by any means but it seems to me you are trying to do something the easy way by doing it the hard way. I am sure Guitargodgt will have the answer.

I feel the same way man haha. Like would I track with ezdrumm, then use drumagog to replace the exdrummer samples with the steven slate samples?

Well, I have to admit I have done similar. Tho I have SS Trigger so it is much easier to replace EZD with the actual Trigger program. :) Sounds kinda cluster *?!%ed to me. Just get SS Trigger EX and forget about the struggle. I know, money, money. Shit is cheap tho.

Yeah I know but I just got Drumagog with the Steven Slate add on. Id hate to waste it especially since they have similar properties.
