I am a beginner guitar player:
Ephiphone Les Paul
Peavey Vyper

Yamaha Audiogram 6 with Cubase AI6

I can only say that I have spent 6 hrs trying to use Cubase... about to give up.
Garageband is much easier - plug, play, record, then listen

I can record with Cubase.. but cannot hear it on feedback.
Is it true that since I am playing through the Audiogram, I have to have external speakers for output ? Why can I not play through computer speakers like Garageband?

Thanks,
Alan

In Cubase, you would have to change your ASIO driver in order to use your computers internal soundcard. But why would you?

Just connect your PC speakers to the Audiogram. Just need adapters. Problem solved.

:D

I am using a Imac - no external speakers, just the monitor ( all-in-one-design ).

Same thing if I was using my macbook pro.. no external speakers.

Bummer. Well, best bet is to get some monitors for the interface then. You could find better sounding speakers than the built in ones for $10 or less at a thrift store. Or change the driver every time you want to playback, though that would get to be annoying, even though it is only 4 or 5 clicks.
